I have been interested in photography for over 30 years with my early days using a Canon 35mm film camera, initially taking photographs of aircraft of all types and sizes, sending the films off to be printed and anticipating the photographs arriving on my doorstep.

With the advent of digital cameras my passion for photography changed, being more interested in landscapes.

For some reason, probably the advent of cameras on smartphones, I lost interest in my hobby for a few years.

However, after buying my first DJI drone in 2021, my excitement for taking photos returned and a few years later, I bought a Canon mirrorless camera and associated lenses and now I love to capture images of nature at its best, both from the air and from the ground.

I find aerial photography gives you a whole new perspective of what we have around us and complements images taken from the ground.
